kenna designed . . . “syringe-aid”

If you know me you know I love children and I love helping people so for this project my teammates and I combined the two to solve a common problem children face, getting shots. Ones experiences as a child largely effects how you view them as an adult. That's why it is important to associate positive memories with doctors visits instead of negative ones. To combat the challenge doctors face of giving scared and nervous children shots, my team created playful covers that disguises the needle from the patient. Our presentation explains our initial ideas, renderings, and ideal materials/manufacturing processes! We ended up making two different versions of syringe-aid one out of plastic and the other out if paper. We initially thought that the plastic one would be the better version but at our final presentation we got the feedback that the paper version actually had more benefits because of its recyclable nature, easy shipping/ packaging options, its one use aspect making it more sanitary, and it can serve as a toy/souvenir for the child 🦋✈️🚂
